Parties and scope
These terms apply between Rowan Motor Works, trading as an independent vehicle service centre in Horsham, and the individual or business booking the work. Our services encompass automotive maintenance, diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and preparing vehicles for statutory roadworthiness testing.
Booking and quotes
All estimates provided by phone, email, or our web form are indicative until we inspect the vehicle in person. An estimate is not a binding fixed contract because hidden mechanical wear may only become evident once components are disassembled. We will seek your permission before proceeding with any repairs beyond the initial figure.
Performance of the work and access to the premises
Work is performed during our standard garage opening hours using industry-standard tools and safe automotive trade practices. For insurance reasons, customers are not permitted within active workshop bays or beneath raised vehicle ramps unless escorted by a member of staff. You authorise our qualified technicians to road-test your vehicle on public highways to diagnose faults or confirm completed repairs.
Prices, payment after completion and invoices
Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work and prior to vehicle release. We accept payment by cash on completion or direct bank transfer against our issued invoice. We do not extend credit terms to private retail customers, and vehicles will remain in our secure compound until payment has cleared in full.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may reschedule or cancel your workshop appointment without charge by giving us at least twenty-four hours of notice. If a vehicle is not dropped off at the agreed time without prior notice, we reserve the right to reallocate the bay to standby jobs and charge a missed appointment fee if special parts were brought in.
Liability, insurance and complaints
We hold full motor trade public liability and road-risk insurance covering your vehicle while in our custody. Rowan Motor Works is not responsible for personal belongings left inside the vehicle, so please remove valuables before hand-off. If you are dissatisfied with a repair, you must notify us within fourteen days and allow us the first opportunity to inspect and rectify the issue.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
